Join our Small local lawfirm as an Enrolled Agent, as a highly skilled tax professional authorized by the IRS to represent taxpayers before federal agencies. In this role, you will with an Experience tax attorney in a small program to leverage your comprehensive knowledge of tax law, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance to assist clients with complex tax issues, ensure accurate tax reporting, and uphold the highest standards of integrity. Duties
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and estate tax returns with precision and attention to detail.
- Represent clients before the IRS and other federal agencies during audits, collections, and appeals processes.
- Provide expert guidance on tax compliance, tax law updates, and regulatory requirements across diverse sectors including estate planning, non-profit accounting, and securities law.
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies related to mergers & acquisitions, asset management, and financial reporting.
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements, general ledger reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy in tax filings.
- Utilize advanced accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, and other financial software tools to streamline bookkeeping and reporting processes.
- Communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients and internal teams while maintaining excellent client relationships.
Qualifications
- Valid Enrolled Agent certification issued by the IRS with active licensing.
- Ability to become an Enrolled Agent within 30 days of hiring
- Experience in tax preparation, tax reporting, and tax law application across various industries including corporate tax expertise.
- Strong background in accounting principles such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), double entry bookkeeping, and technical accounting standards.
- Proficiency with accounting software like QuickBooks, PitBull, and other financial software platforms
- Demonstrated ability in financial analysis, financial report writing & interpretation, budgeting, asset management, and financial planning.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail in account reconciliation and account analysis tasks.
- Prior experience in public accounting or non-profit accounting is a plus; familiarity with auditing practices is beneficial.
