Event Rentals is a family-owned business, with four locations across South Carolina, specializing in event and party needs for weddings, corporate events, festivals, private parties and functions.
In this role, you would help customers create unforgettable weddings, parties, festivals, and celebrations by guiding them through event planning and rental selections. This role combines customer service, creativity, organization, and relationship building in a fast-paced event environment. The schedule is Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, NO WEEKENDS. Busy spring/fall seasons. Hourly wage is between $17.00 and $20.00, and starting rate is based on experience and qualifications.
Position Tasks & Activities
- Assist customers in planning weddings, parties, graduations, festivals, and other special events by recommending rental products and layout ideas.
- Build quotes, process orders, and coordinate event details to ensure a smooth customer experience from initial inquiry through event completion.
- Communicate with customers in person, by phone, and by email to answer questions, provide recommendations, and manage changes or updates.
- Collaborate with the operations and delivery teams to confirm product availability, scheduling, and event timelines.
- Maintain showroom displays and stay knowledgeable on current event trends, rental inventory, and design ideas to help customers bring their vision to life.

- Present a polished, professional image while interacting with clients and representing the company at events and in the showroom.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with clients.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects, timelines, and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using computers, email, and basic office software for quotes, scheduling, and customer communication.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members and event staff.
- Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail when helping customers plan and coordinate event needs.
Physical Requirements
This role involves a combination of customer interaction, showroom activity, and computer-based work. Team members should be comfortable standing and walking throughout the showroom, using a computer and phone systems, and assisting with light inventory movement as needed.
Candidates should be able to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, squatting, and moving throughout the workspace comfortably and safely.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
