Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and food preparation tools safely and efficiently
- Assist with food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, grilling, braising, poaching, and food handling to support overall kitchen operations
- Follow food safety protocols and sanitizing procedures diligently to ensure a clean and safe working environment
- Maintain proper food production standards by adhering to recipe guidelines, portion control, and quality checks
- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting new pizza toppings or seasonal offerings based on customer preferences
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders during high-volume periods while maintaining excellent food quality
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, restaurant cook, or catering assistant is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen setting
- Demonstrated culinary experience with skills in grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking techniques
- Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently; knife skills are essential
- Experience with food preparation for high-volume production environments preferred
- Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation standards
- Excellent food handling skills coupled with a passion for culinary arts and customer satisfaction
