Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assess and treat children with diverse needs, including those with autism, disabilities, or developmental delays. Your expertise will help children improve their daily functioning, foster independence, and enhance their quality of life across various settings such as clinics, schools, outpatient facilities, and home health environments. This is a flexible position that will grow in hours over time.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of pediatric patients to develop individualized care plans focused on improving motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
- Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and self-care techniques to promote independence
- Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to children’s unique needs in outpatient clinics, schools, or home health settings
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care strategies and effective discharge planning
- Manage case documentation meticulously, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries
- Engage in early intervention programs to support infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities
- Contribute to post-acute care plans for children transitioning from hospital or inpatient settings back into the community or home environment
Experience
- Proven experience working as an Occupational Therapist in pediatric settings such as outpatient clinics, schools, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities or home health environments
- Familiarity with assisting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), disabilities, or developmental challenges
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology relevant to pediatric care and therapy interventions
- Hands-on experience in discharge planning and case management for pediatric patients
- Background working across diverse environments including acute care units like ICU or inpatient wards is a plus
- Strong understanding of occupational health principles related to pediatrics and patient care standards
- Prior involvement in speech therapy collaborations or interdisciplinary teams is advantageous

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
