Job Summary
Club Jovonnes is urgently hiring a dedicated Solo Kitchen Cook. In this vital role, you will be responsible for independently preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality meals — from classic bar food to entrees such as salmon and lamb rack — ensuring every dish meets our standards of excellence. After an initial training period, you will be responsible for running the kitchen on your own during your shift. Responsibilities
Prepare and cook all menu items independently, following Club Jovonnes' established recipes and guidelines
Handle all aspects of food preparation including chopping, seasoning, plating, and presentation
Manage high order volume solo, ensuring timely and quality delivery during service
Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards throughout every shift
Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations at all times
Track inventory levels and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations in a restaurant or food service setting
Strong knife skills and proficiency in a range of cooking techniques
Must be comfortable and confident working as the only cook on shift — this is not a team kitchen environment
Ability to multitask and manage high order volume under pressure while maintaining quality
Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
Follows recipes accurately and consistently
Reliable transportation required
Compensation
$18–$23/hr based on experience
34+ hours per week (full-time)
