Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive science curricula aligned with educational standards and tailored to diverse student needs
- Design and deliver dynamic lessons that incorporate hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and interactive activities
- Utilize learning management systems (LMS) to organize materials, track student progress, and facilitate communication with students and parents
- Adapt teaching strategies to support students with special education needs and those working with disabilities
- Incorporate technology tools and digital resources to enhance science instruction and engagement
- Manage classroom environments effectively, ensuring safety, positive behavior, and inclusive participation
- Assess student understanding through formative and summative evaluations, providing timely feedback to support growth
Requirements
- Proven classroom experience teaching science at the elementary, middle, or high school level
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design principles
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms, LMS tools, and digital resource integration
- Experience working with children with diverse learning needs, including special education populations
- Background in early childhood education or childhood development is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills for engaging students, parents, and colleagues effectively
- Demonstrated classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment
- Ability to adapt lessons for students with disabilities or special needs using appropriate accommodations
- Prior private school experience or Montessori training is a plus
- Passion for teaching physical education or integrating library services into science lessons is advantageous

Pay: $56,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
