Tuerk House, Inc., a leading non-profit behavioral health organization, is seeking a Driver to provide transportation of clients to and from all scheduled appointments outside of Tuerk House Facilities. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Facilities Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide safe, secure, and professional services.

Ensure that all clients have appropriate paperwork and plans are in place for travel.

Ensure client is aware and has an understanding of transfer or trip.

Perform all duties as assigned by All Points Assisted Transportation.

Must be physically able to step up and down steps.
-
Must be able to safely secure clients for transport.
-
Must be physically able transport wheelchair patients on paved and unpaved surfaces.

Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Complete daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

Maintain vehicle cleanliness.

Assist clients as needed to safely complete the transfer.

Must understand instructions in English (both written and spoken).

Must be able to accurately complete activity logs and vehicle reports.

Must be able to understand and operate GPS device, radio, and cell phones.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, Education and/or Experience:
-
Must possess a valid Maryland Driver’s license and provide a current 10‐year DMV printout.

No more than 1 moving violation or 1 “at fault” accident within the past 3
years.

Ability to interact effectively with personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, and public.

CPR and First Aid certification

An ability to flexibly engage people based on their individual needs.

Demonstrated ability to respect and maintain appropriate and professional boundaries with management, peers, customers and clients at all times.

Must be able to follow written and oral instruction.

Demonstrated ability to read, understand and speak English.

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
