Stand Manager — Drive-Thru Coffee
Pay: Competitive hourly rate — negotiable pay and tip structure discussed at interview
We are an established busy, locally owned drive-thru coffee stand in Hayden. We're looking for someone who brings good energy to every shift, makes the crew better just by being there, and runs a tight stand. You'll report directly to the owner and have real authority to run the place.
This is a hands-on role. You'll work the bar alongside the team, and your attitude sets the tone for everyone.
Who Thrives Here
- You're genuinely upbeat. Customers remember you, and the team works harder because working with you is fun.
- You lead by doing. You pull shots during the rush, you clean alongside everyone, and you never ask the team to do something you wouldn't.
- You find work without being told. Slow hour? You're restocking, training someone, or making the stand better - that's just how you operate!
- You handle problems yourself. Callouts, equipment hiccups, an unhappy customer - you solve it and loop in the owner after, not the other way around.
- You can be kind AND direct. When someone's slipping, you talk to them that week - with respect, face to face. Holding standards and being a joy to work for aren't opposites; that's the whole job.
- You work just as hard when nobody's watching. The owner is often off-site, and the stand runs on trust in you and your team!
What You'll Own
- Daily operations of the stand, open or close
- Staff scheduling and shift coverage
- Inventory counts, ordering, and vendor deliveries
- Training, coaching, and keeping the team at expected standard
- Drink quality, speed of service, and customer experience
- Showing up in our content - appearing in and helping create social media posts, and getting the crew excited to participate
- Cash handling, deposits, and end-of-day reporting
- Regular check-ins with the owner on sales, staffing, and pertinent issues
Honest Expectations
This is not a Monday–Friday morning role. The schedule rotates through early mornings, closing shifts, and weekends - you'll work all of them, because a manager who never sees a close or a Saturday rush can't lead the people who do. You're on your feet in a small space, moving fast. Cleaning is expected from everyone - machines, floors, restrooms. And our social media isn't optional background noise; being on camera and part of the fun is part of the brand. If all of that sounds normal to you, you'll love it here!

Application Question(s):
- What is the largest team you've led and what you were responsible for?
- As the manager, there will be times a scheduled day off gets interrupted — a callout to cover, an equipment problem, a deposit that has to happen. It's not constant, but it's part of leading a stand. How would you handle these situations?
- This role rotates through early mornings, closing shifts, and weekends — not a fixed Monday-through-Friday morning schedule. Are you fully available for all of those?
- Do you have any standing commitments — another job, classes, custody schedule, anything — that would limit which shifts you can work?
- Walk me through your ideal week here. What does your schedule look like?
- Have you ever had to give up plans because work needed you? How did you feel about it, and would your answer be different for a job you were leading?
- When you commit to getting something done by end of shift, what happens if you get busy?
- Tell me about a shift or workday you genuinely enjoyed. What made it good?
