Job Overview
We are a busy family looking for a dependable, friendly, and detail-oriented Household Helper / Family Assistant to provide an extra set of hands around our home.
The primary focus of this position is helping us keep the household clean, organized, and running smoothly. One parent will typically be home with the children, so this is not primarily a nanny position. However, we would like someone who is comfortable occasionally helping with the kids when an extra hand is needed.
Responsibilities
- General household cleaning and tidying
- Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping
- Kitchen cleanup and dishes
- Bathroom cleaning
- Laundry, folding, and putting items away as needed
- Making beds and changing linens
- Picking up and organizing toys and common areas
- Taking out trash
- Helping keep household items organized
- Occasional more detailed/deeper cleaning of areas as needed
- Occasional help with the children, such as changing a diaper, preparing a snack, playing with them, or briefly supervising them
- Other reasonable household tasks as needed
Every day may look a little different. Some days may involve more laundry or cleaning, while others may be focused on tidying, organizing, or simply helping us stay caught up around the house.

- Comfortable with household cleaning and laundry
- Someone who takes initiative and can notice what needs attention
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Able to work independently
- Flexible with normal day-to-day household needs
- Reliable transportation
- Previous housekeeping, household assistant, family assistant, or childcare experience is a plus
We’re hoping to find someone who enjoys helping a household stay organized and would like a consistent part-time position with our family.
