We are seeking a dependable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe driving, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering packages to commercial and residential customers in a timely and professional manner. Must be available to work weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a delivery van or truck to deliver packages to customers within assigned routes and timelines
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with customers, addressing questions and concerns, and delivering packages with a friendly and positive attitude
- Load and unload packages from delivery vehicles, ensuring that they are properly secured for transport
- Use handheld devices to scan and track packages, update delivery status, and obtain electronic signatures
- Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, including any exceptions or issues that may arise
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following all traffic laws and regulations
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including checking oil and fluid levels, tire pressure, and brakes, and reporting any maintenance issues to management
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle, both inside and out
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure all packages are delivered on time and to the correct locations
- Must be 21 years of age to handle packages that contain alcohol.
