Key Responsibilities
- Quality & Safety Compliance — Adhere to all quality and safety codes throughout machining operations.
- Machine Condition — Maintain CNC machinery to ensure proper operation.
- CNC Programming — Create CNC programs for fabrication and machining.
- Production Control — Operate machines and processes to meet production requirements.
- Machine Operation — Run CNC lathes, mills, gear grinders, and hand/power tools.
- Independent Setup — Set up 3‑, 4‑, and 5‑axis CNC machines with accuracy and efficiency.
- GD&T Interpretation — Read and interpret GD&T, blueprints, and manufacturing drawings.
- Tooling & Strategy — Select tooling, determine speeds/feeds, and establish machining strategies.
- Precision Measurement — Use micrometers, comparators, and gauges to verify part quality.
- Troubleshooting — Diagnose machining issues and optimize processes.
- Team Collaboration — Work with team members to maintain workflow and meet production goals.
- Workplace Organization — Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑focused work environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum 3 years of independent CNC machine setup experience.
- Strong proficiency in GD&T, blueprint reading, and mechanical drawings.
- Skilled in operating CNC machinery, tooling, and precision measurement tools.
- Experience with CNC turning, milling, grinding, and gear‑shaping equipment.
- Background in a machine shop environment.
- Ability to perform emergency/unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance.
- Knowledge of fixtures, tooling, and general maintenance processes.
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
