Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Services Director to lead our social services department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in social work and program management within healthcare or community-based settings. As the Social Services Director, you will oversee the development and implementation of social service programs, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and foster meaningful relationships with clients and their families. Your leadership will be instrumental in enhancing the quality of life for our residents while supporting staff excellence and community engagement.
Duties
- Develop, coordinate, and oversee social service programs tailored to the needs of residents with diverse backgrounds and disabilities.
- Manage client relations by communicating effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers, and community partners.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards related to social services within healthcare settings.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident interactions, assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
- Lead efforts in program development aimed at improving behavioral health outcomes and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that emphasizes respectful relationship management and culturally competent care.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and other underserved communities.
- Strong leadership skills with supervisory experience in social services or healthcare settings.
- Excellent written communication skills for report writing and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for administrative tasks and client communication.
- Knowledge of compliance standards related to social work practice in healthcare environments.
- Degree in Social Work or Human Services preferred but not required.
