Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team. While specific law office experience is not required, you will be handling administrative and legally technical operations on a daily basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced office setting and contribute to a dynamic law firm. This is a full-time, in-person position located at our office in Sea Girt, NJ.
Please Note: START DATE FOR THIS POSITION IS JULY 20TH, 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls/emails and direct inquiries accordingly
- File and maintain legal documents in physical and electronic filing systems
- File legal documents with the courts
- Greet clients upon arrival at the office
- Schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings
- Manage attorney calendars and reminders
- Manage accounts payable/receivable tasks such as sending bills and entering payments
- Maintain a clean, organized office space including supplies and monthly subscriptions
- Perform general clerical duties such as e-filing, photocopying and data entry
- Assist in legal support under the direction of lead attorney and paralegal
The ideal candidate must possess the following skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity of business letter formatting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Prioritize and maintain confidentiality among client information
- Have a positive, pleasant attitude and eagerness to learn (Must love dogs!)
Experience Requirements:
- Associates Degree or Secretarial School (preferred)
- Office/Administrative Experience: 1+ year (required)
- Microsoft Office Suite: 1+ year (required)

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $21 - $24 per hour (based on experience)
Monday - Friday
Expected Hours: 9AM - 5PM (Occasional early-closing on Fridays)
