Our client, an Austin-area technology provider, is looking to hire a Computer Testing Technician for their location. Responsibilities for this position include testing, maintaining, assembling, troubleshooting, and repairing computer equipment. Knowledge of production processes, equipment, and tools associated with computer hardware/software is required for this position.
The Day-to-Day:
- Test computer equipment, systems, and components for proper operation.
- Assemble computer hardware according to established specifications.
- Troubleshoot technical and mechanical equipment issues.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on computer systems.
- Complete in-process inspections to identify defects or performance concerns.
- Document testing results and report equipment problems.
- Work with networking equipment, RAID controllers, switches, and related components.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience working with general computer systems and components.
- Basic knowledge of networking, RAID controllers, or switches.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to assemble, test, diagnose, and repair computer equipment.
- A+ Certification is preferred but not required.
- Network+ Certification is preferred but not required.

- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
