Job Profile and Description:
The Pole Truck Driver drives and operates the company pole truck to location to load, unload, lift and move heavy equipment around the jobsite as required for the job. Company pole trucks have three winches and live poles to lift 20 to 40 tons.
Skills and Specifications:
The ideal candidate must be able to:
- Work a 24-hour on-call schedule, with scheduled days to work and scheduled days off.
- Perform a job safety analysis (JSA) with rig crew and all persons on location before work begins.
- Perform heavy lifting.
- Work in a potentially hazardous environment which could include exposure to chemicals, gases, cold/heat, noise, dampness, dust, fumes, radiation and heights. Based on this, the right candidate would be able to complete the required company-provided training certifications to work in such an environment.
- Troubleshoot problems requiring basic mechanical knowledge of the truck and poles.
- Comply with DOT requirements.
Education and Qualifications:
- CDL with clean driving record.
- Strong reading, writing and public speaking skills.
- Previous oilfield experience is preferred but not required.
