Join Andrews Valley Rail Tours at our historic Depot in beautiful Andrews, NC! We’re North Carolina’s first railbike tour company, offering unforgettable scenic adventures through the Blue Ridge Mountains. We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Depot Associate to help deliver exceptional customer experiences at our check-in location.

Job Responsibilities
- Greet guests, manage check-in and checkout processes, and process payments at the register
- Provide outstanding customer service, answer questions, and assist with retail purchases (merchandise, snacks, souvenirs)
- Help guests prepare for their railbike adventures and ensure a smooth, positive experience
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Depot environment
- Work comfortably on your feet for extended periods during shifts ranging from 5 to 14 hours
- Collaborate with the team to handle daily operations and peak visitor flow
- Represent Andrews Valley Rail Tours with a positive, professional attitude
Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, upbeat personality
- Experience handling cash/register transactions and basic retail tasks (or strong willingness to learn)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including weekends and longer days
- Comfortable standing and moving for long periods in a busy environment
- Available to work approximately 25-30 hours per week through the end of our season (projected through mid-November 2026)
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous retail, hospitality, tourism, or customer-facing experience
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems
- Passion for the Blue Ridge Mountains, local history, and creating great guest memories
- Local to Andrews/Murphy/Western NC area (preferred for reliable scheduling)
