Responsibilities
- Managing appointment scheduling, follow-ups, and scheduling confirmations.
- Coordinate with veterinary staff regarding appointments and patient needs.
- Keep medical staff informed about daily appointments and any changes.
- Welcome patients and visitors as they arrive at the clinic, creating a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications and Experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
Education / Certifications / Licenses:
● High school diploma/GED
● Valid driver’s license required
● Preferred experience at a veterinary hospital, rescue, or clinic in a similar role.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
● Language – Able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Knowledge of Spanish is helpful, but not required.
● Mathematical – Basic
● Technical – Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Explorer; able to learn other software programs as necessary. Proficient with or able to learn/use veterinary software.
Other:
Regular attendance, punctuality, and access to reliable transportation are required.
Work Environment / Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must be comfortable working with and around cats, as this is a cat-only rescue. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. There will be exposure to dust, heat, cold, and temperature changes; occasional wet floors, and animal noises, odors, and dander. The work environment will consist of indoors and within the rescue and veterinary area.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in animal handling is desirable.
- Knowledge of veterinary practice software and terminology is very important.
