Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites, ensuring safe and efficient operations while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
Applicant must have a current CDL. The current position is for an automatic truck.
However, experience operating a manual is preferred. Must be willing to work Monday - Friday, as needed, 7 to 10 hours per day.
Experience Required:
- Dump truck / short haul: 2-3 years
Duties
- Operate dump trucks to transport various materials, including, but not limited to: Dirt, gravel, construction debris, etc. Asphalt experience is a plus.
- Safely and routinely drive/operate an automatic dump truck. (We would prefer experience driving/operating a manual as well.
- Conduct pre-trip and/or post-trip inspections of vehicle to ensure they are in safe and compliant operating condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of assigned jobs, driving hours, routes taken, and materials transported.
- Communicate effectively and thoroughly with owners/dispatchers.
- Follow detailed instructions and designated routes while also having flexibility to adapt to changes in schedule or job and site assignments.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while driving on public roads and between job sites.
Skills
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Experience as a Dump Truck Driver
- Familiarity with using and following cellular GPS/navigation via Google Maps and/or Apple Maps.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work closely with fellow job site personnel and company personnel to solve problems.
- Strong attention to details and instructions, with a focus on safety and compliance at all times.

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week, weather permitting
