In this role, you won't just be standing at the front of a classroom lecturing; you will be a guide. We operate on a child-led, Montessori-inspired philosophy where children are encouraged to explore, discover, and learn at their own pace. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities) Guide, Don’t Direct: Facilitate child-led learning by observing individual interests and gently guiding children toward activities that match their developmental stages.
Prepare the Environment: Maintain a clean, orderly, aesthetically pleasing, and safe classroom environment (the "prepared environment") where materials are easily accessible to children.
Observe & Document: Keep thoughtful track of each child's development, interests, and milestones to help tailor their learning path.
Foster Independence: Encourage practical life skills, self-regulation, and peer-to-peer conflict resolution.
Build Community: Maintain open, warm, and professional communication with parents regarding their child’s daily discoveries and growth.
Ohana Learning Center is a licensed in home preschool. Schedule will be 8:30am - 2:30 pm M-F Flexible
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
