Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating smooth, durable concrete surfaces that meet project specifications and quality standards. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring safety, precision, and excellence on every job site. Duties
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping using hand tools such as trowels, floats, and edgers.
- Operate power tools including power trowels, screeds, and concrete pumps to achieve optimal surface quality.
- Read blueprints and schematics to interpret project requirements accurately for concrete placement and finishing.
- Install rebar reinforcement and formwork to prepare for concrete pouring, ensuring structural integrity.
- Apply finishing techniques such as stamping, staining, or sealing to enhance aesthetic appeal when required.
- Coordinate with team members to perform heavy lifting and positioning of materials like form panels and rebar components.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the process to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with a focus on concrete finishing or related trades such as masonry, plastering, or carpentry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of concrete mixing procedures and the operation of concrete mixers and pumps.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to construction projects.
- Hands-on experience with rebar installation, form building, and metal stud framing is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely including forklifts or other machinery used in material handling.
- Knowledge of renovation projects involving stucco, caulking, flooring installation, tile laying or roofing is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights on scaffolding or ladders.
