Senior Construction Project Manager
Location: Hybrid Remote (Schenectady, NY 12305) – Majority of time spent in the office

Salary Range: $100,000 – $120,000 / year + Performance-Based Bonus Opportunities and potential ownership opportunities in the business.

Position Overview
As an integral part of our leadership team, the Senior Construction Project Manager will take full ownership of our residential and light commercial projects from pre-construction through closeout. This is not just an administrative role; it is a high-influence position designed for a self-sufficient leader who can manage high-stakes project execution while simultaneously helping to shape our systems, processes, and company culture as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Ownership: Simultaneously oversee multiple residential and light commercial projects from pre-construction through final closeout, ensuring execution aligns with plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Field Partnership: Collaborate closely with the Superintendent to bridge the gap between office strategy and field execution.
- Financial & Schedule Control: Develop, manage, and optimize comprehensive project schedules, scopes of work, and budgets. Track change orders, billing, and all critical project documentation.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Direct and orchestrate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors. Continually communicate with clarity and transparency across clients, leadership, and field teams.
- Quality & Compliance: Conduct regular job site visits to guarantee the highest standards of quality, safety, and strict code compliance.
- Executive Leadership: Solve complex problems independently and proactively. Participate directly in leadership discussions, driving process improvements and strategic company growth initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of dedicated construction project management experience (a 4-year degree in Construction Management or Project Management is highly valued).
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractors for residential and light commercial projects.
- Leadership & Autonomy: Exceptional organizational, time-management, and communication skills, with a proven ability to operate independently with minimal oversight.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient with Google Workspace and modern construction management workflows.
- Logistics: Must possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable truck or vehicle capable of moving small loads of supplies when necessary.
- Network (Preferred): An existing, reliable subcontractor network in the Capital Region is a strong plus.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role requiring a sophisticated balance of administrative responsibilities and active field oversight. You will split your time between our Latham office and active job sites.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
