Community Based Services is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic leader with strong clinical background who wants to make a difference in the lives of people with Autism and other developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate must have supervisory experience preferably in day program setting. In addition, three years’ work experience with individuals who have behavioral and dual diagnosis. The Day Habilitation Manager is responsible for coordinating engaging community activities and innovative group day habilitation programs. The Day Habilitation Manager will directly supervise staff while facilitating community inclusion, integration, and relationship building.
The Day Habilitation Managers Primary location will be in Hopewell Junction, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Develop community integration related to recreation, volunteer and internship opportunities.
- Act as liaison with community organizations and businesses that offer opportunities to our participants.
- Seek out and enroll new program participants.
- Act as liaison with families and Supervisors/Managers of certified settings.
- Work in coordination with the Human Resources Office to interview, hire, process and train new staff.
- Complete orientation training in clinical areas for new employees, including outcomes, data collection, person-centered process and the interdisciplinary team process.
- Supervise staff assigned to deliver services.
- Complete annual, semiannual and special meeting reviews as necessary, including writing meeting minutes and updates for each participant’s ISP/LifePlans and other required paperwork.
- Assist to develop, implement, and review QI assessments for individuals and families on an annual basis in the areas of choice, satisfaction and individual participation.
- Help to develop behavior plans as appropriate in coordination with the Clinical Program Specialist.
- Utilize as appropriate community resources to complement our participants’ program needs.
Requirements:
- Supervisory experience and minimally 3 years day program experience.
- Must have worked at least three (3) years with individuals that have behavioral and dual diagnosis
- Ability to effectively communicate and to provide customer satisfaction.
- Writing skills and the ability to use electronic health records systems.
- Familiarity with OPWDD settings preferred.
Salary- $64,350 per year
