Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and special dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Handle all sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with food handling and preparation when needed
- Offer expert knowledge on wine pairings, cocktail recipes, and food safety practices to elevate guest experiences
- Collaborate seamlessly with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and timely service for all guests
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Demonstrated skills in customer service, guest relations, and hospitality that foster positive interactions
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for sales transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures within the food industry
- Experience with wine knowledge, spirits, cocktail making, and upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cashiering and handling cash transactions accurately
