Provide quality care and services to patients by assisting dentists and other staff in a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties.

Affect the efficiency and productivity of patient flow through timely, accurate and professional preparation of patients and patient information.

Take and process x-rays and perform other diagnostic tests under the direction of a dentist.

Ensure that all necessary tools and materials are in place for the dentist prior to every treatment or procedure.

Sterilize dental instruments and equipment for each patient.

Organize and maintain clean work areas and disinfect treatment rooms according to OSHA regulations.

Assist with front office tasks as needed, including patient scheduling, billing, and record-keeping.

Provide instructions to patients regarding postoperative care and general oral health care as directed by the dentist.

Participate in the assessment of the treatment planning by taking patient histories and maintaining dental records.

Manage supply inventory and place orders for new supplies as needed.

Build trusting relationships with patients by providing empathetic and considerate care during treatments.

Comply with all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Radiation safety certification or successful completion of a radiation safety course.

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or completion of a dental assistant training program.

Strong understanding of dental procedures, terminology, and protocol.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Basic computer skills for using practice management software.
