REPORTS TO: Athletic Director
We are looking for an enthusiastic Soccer coach with the following qualifications~
- Have Soccer/coaching experience (Not mandatory)
- Enjoy coaching and working with children, ages 13-18
- Are at least 18 or older
- Have reliable transportation
- Positive individuals who can share their passion of Soccer with kids!
- A strong commitment to the student-athlete concept
- Effective leadership, coaching and recruiting skills;
- Good communication skills with players, parents, and the athletic department;
- A valid driver’s license (so that you can drive our team to games).
WORK HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:A part-time, early fall/winter season appointment. On/off-campus responsibilities mainly: Practices at either 5:30am or 3:30pm and games between 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with an occasional Saturday. Coaching responsibilities may result in extended weekday/weekend commitments for games, including travel. All coaches are employed on a bi-weekly stipend basis.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Head Soccer coach is responsible for creating and supporting various aspects of the Soccer program, such as program development, training, and coaching team members. The coach is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by The Cambridge School. The Cambridge School is a member of the TEXAS ASSOCIATION OF PRIVATE AND PAROCHIAL SCHOOLS Conference( TAPPS).
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Encourage, train, and coach the participants of the High School Boys and a few girlsprogram (Grades 9-12);
- Lead the JV team in Games
- Collaborate with the Middle school boys (Grades 7-8);
- Help Organize practice sessions;
- Represent The Cambridge School and the Basketball and athletic program in a professional manner and within the bounds of good sportsmanship.
This is an exempt position that is paid a coaching stipend at the end of the season.
