Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status as necessary.
- Administer medications and assist with medical documentation as required.
- Support clients with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients with disabilities or chronic conditions.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Engage in ongoing training and development to enhance caregiving skills.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related healthcare role is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical documentation practices and familiarity with tools such as Epic is advantageous.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in hospice care settings is highly valued.
- Understanding of vital signs monitoring and basic nursing home protocols is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
