Delivery Driver (part-time)
Bill Doran is a family-owned wholesale florist that was founded in Rockford IL in 1945. We have since grown to 34 locations in 19 states. Our Green Bay, WI is seeking a part-time delivery driver. We are seeking an individual that is customer service oriented, possesses excellent organizational and time management skills and is adaptable to changing business needs!
Monday – Thursday
10:00 a.m. – route close (averages around 4:00 p.m.)
Wages: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour based on candidate qualifications and experience.
Essential Job Duties
· Safely and efficiently operate our delivery vans to deliver fresh flowers & floral supplies to our customers’ retail flower shops. No overnight long-haul deliveries.
· Perform pre-trip inspection of the vehicle.
· Follow delivery route sheets provided by our dispatcher.
· Follows all company safety policies and procedures.
· Adhere to all traffic laws and safety guidelines while driving.
· Provide exemplary customer service to all customers.
· Collect signatures on all invoices delivered and payments when applicable.
- Maintain clean and tidy work van.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
· High School graduate or GED.
- A positive attitude and self-starter with the ability to work well individually and in a team environment.
· Valid driver’s license with a clean record (minimal negative activity and no DUIs in the past five years).
· Clear communicator with a passion for customer service to build rapport and lasting relationships with customers.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk, for extended periods of time during scheduled shifts.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. during scheduled shifts.
- Work in various weather conditions, office, and/or colder environment (cooler) during scheduled shifts.
- Dependability and punctuality are necessary.
· Present self with well-groomed, clean, and neat appearance.
· Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
· Some knowledge of the area would be helpful.
Experience:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record (minimal negative activity and no DUIs in the past five years).
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
