Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care across various settings. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for assessing patients, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans while ensuring compliance with medical protocols and standards. Majority of work will be conducted as telehealth. This is an ideal position for someone interested in a full or part time position.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Provide patient education on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in telehealth and in person consultations to extend care to patients remotely.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in critical care settings such as ICU or pediatrics.
- Engage in health coaching initiatives to promote patient wellness.
Experience
- Previous experience in a clinical setting focused on trauma, emergency medicine or orthopedics is preferred.
- Proficiency in basic life support techniques and vital signs monitoring is essential.
- Familiarity with medical coding practices is advantageous for documentation accuracy.
- Experience with telehealth platforms to facilitate remote patient interactions is desirable.
- A strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the healthcare field.
