Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team and drive excellence in building comfort and efficiency. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Duties
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems in accordance with schematics and HVAC design specifications.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical components to identify faults quickly and accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, refrigerant recharges (including ammonia refrigeration), and ductwork inspections to ensure peak performance.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to facilitate precise repairs and installations.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe fittings, drainage connections, and water supply lines.
- Utilize welding skills when necessary for equipment repair or custom fabrication of parts.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and future references.
- Support property maintenance efforts by ensuring HVAC equipment operates reliably within the broader building management system.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems.
- Knowledge of construction principles related to building systems installation.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing boilers, appliances repair, welding techniques, and general equipment repair.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, and refrigeration technology including ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Hands-on experience with air conditioning units, ventilation systems, boiler operation, and property maintenance tasks.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical troubleshooting.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with field service experience in commercial or residential settings.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating field service vehicles is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
