JOB This is semi-skilled work involving the hygienic care of vehicle interiors to insure passenger comfort. Employees work under general supervision. Work is supervised or assisted as needed by a higher level maintenance employee or supervisor.
Workdays and Hours: Monday - Saturday: 4:30PM-1:00AM

- Complete cleaning of the interior of all vehicles.

Complete cleaning of exterior and windows on all vehicles.

Checks and maintains fluid levels and tire pressures on cutaway vans and/or support vehicles.

Cleaning of transit facility and related properties.

Assists the mechanics and other garage personnel in cleaning of transit equipment and components.

Handling of farebox vaults.

Maintenance and repair of facilities, grounds, signage, bus stops and shelters.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Required Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

2 years of unrestricted licensed driving experience required.

Have a Valid Driver's License

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of a sponsorship.
Preferred Experience:
-
6 months experience as a janitor or porter
This position is represented by Teamsters Local 795 and includes Teamsters pension.
This position may require pre-employment testing at any or all of the following: Workforce Center, City of Wichita Human Resources department or the Transit department.
This is a safety-sensitive position that requires the most recent two-year Drug and Alcohol testing records and accident records.
