Advanced Therapy is seeking an Office Assistant / Day Care Director to work at our primary location at 10B Madison Avenue Extension, Albany NY.
The successful applicant will work directly with our Administrative Team as well as classroom teacher and support staff in managing our day-to-day operations while sustaining a positive learning environment for children. Day care director will oversee the coordination and day to day function of the day care program while fostering an environment that promotes student/child learning and development. Day care director will additionally be responsible to facilitate day care program local and federal regulation compliance.
The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience in managing all aspects of a daycare center or nursery school, as well as strong leadership , organizational and office skills. Additionally, candidates should display a strong knowledge of child development and regulatory standards and possess teaching certification. Additionally, candidate should demonstrate a positive energy and friendly demeanor, and strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment for both children and teachers while promoting and fostering collaborative relationships with parents and community members. Early childhood development experience is a plus.
Roles & Responsibilities
Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children.
Work with Administrative Preschool Team to manage and coordinate curriculum with staff that complies with state and federal requirements.
Work with Advanced Therapy Administrative Team to complete assigned clerical and office functions.
Ensure that center facilities are safe for children and comply with laws and regulations.
Evaluate and recommend the procurement of materials, equipment, and supplies.
Train new staff members.
Complete ongoing training and courses to remain up to date on daycare standards and procedures.
Communicate and meet with parents regarding their children and the center’s policies.
Oversee classroom staff ensuring appropriate trainings are obtained and reinforced, agency best practices and policies are implemented, participates in timely and accurate performance evaluations.
Ensure effective operation of classroom including all aspects of programs; safety and educational standards in accordance with local, state and federal regulations, licensing requirements and company policies.
Communicates issues proactively to management team and works to create solutions to problems.

Qualifications & Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field strongly preferred.
Teaching Certification preferred.
Early childhood education experience required.
Office experience required.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws governing child care.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Friendly and approachable demeanor.
Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
