We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Counselor/Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions.
- Deliver evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to individual client needs.
- Facilitate individual, group, family, and child counseling sessions focusing on issues such as grief, trauma (including PTSD), addiction, gender identity, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and chronic pain management.
- Implement crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during emergencies; provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed.
- Maintain meticulous medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations; utilize medical terminology effectively for accurate record-keeping.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, special education staff, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Engage in clinical research activities and data collection efforts to improve therapeutic outcomes; stay current with advancements in behavioral health practices and ICD coding updates.
- Facilitate groups for mental health and/or substance abuse.
Experience
- Proven experience providing psychotherapy or mental health counseling in outpatient or inpatient settings; hospital experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, geriatrics, and diverse populations.
- Hands-on experience with crisis intervention techniques, behavior management strategies, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and trauma-informed care including PTSD treatment.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions; knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic purposes.
- Strong background in social work or clinical counseling with a focus on patient assessment and case management; experience working within HIPAA guidelines is essential.
- Ability to utilize various therapeutic modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), art therapy, dance therapy, and psychopharmacology principles when appropriate.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health conditions; experience documenting medical records accurately using CPT coding is a plus. Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
