Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team using Mazak mills and lathes. In this role, you will operate and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment, including Fanuc controls, while contributing to innovative projects that push the boundaries of manufacturing technology.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Mazak CNC milling machines and CNC lathes to produce high-quality parts according to detailed blueprints and specifications.
- Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software, ensuring optimal machining processes.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to ensure precise fabrication.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, tool changes, and adjustments to maintain peak performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on tooling selection, fixture setup, and process improvements aligned with lean manufacturing principles.
- Maintain accurate documentation of machining processes, inspection reports, and production logs for quality assurance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating Mazak CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with Fanuc controls or similar systems. Experience using Mazatol Preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming techniques using CAM software; familiarity with SolidWorks and CAD for design review is a plus.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, tooling equipment, and basic shop machinery safely and effectively.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
