Primary Role & Objective:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, within a fresh produce distribution and warehouse environment. This role supports purchasing, receiving, quality control, and sales teams by ensuring inventory accuracy, minimizing shrink, and maintaining product traceability. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working in the fresh produce industry.
Key Responsibilities:
· Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records for all Beachside items.
· Perform daily inventory reconciliations and cycle counts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
· Track product movement from receiving through shipping to ensure inventory accuracy.
· Investigate inventory variances, shortages, overages, and product losses.
· Coordinate with receiving, warehouse, quality assurance, and sales teams to ensure proper inventory management.
· Generate and analyze inventory reports and inventory adjustments.
· Maintain accurate lot tracking and product traceability records.
· Perform monthly physical inventory counts.
· Verify receiving and shipping documentation for accuracy.
· Utilize inventory management and warehouse management systems (WMS) to report outbound transactions.
Experience, Skills, and Education:
· Ability to both think strategically and act tactically as necessary.
· Possess Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook skills.
· Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
