Direct Hire | Full-Time | Night Shift (3x12s)
A leading healthcare organization in Alton, IL is seeking an experienced Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to join its dynamic nursing team. This full-time, permanent opportunity offers competitive compensation, generous shift differentials, excellent benefits, and a $20,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment.
This role is ideal for a flexible and clinically strong RN who enjoys working across multiple units and caring for a diverse patient population. Candidates with ICU and/or Emergency Department experience are strongly preferred, though experienced acute care nurses from other hospital settings will also be considered.
Position Overview
- Permanent, full-time position
- Float Pool RN supporting multiple units throughout the hospital
- Night shift schedule (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Compensation & Incentives
- Pay range: $42.78 – $53.74 per hour (based on experience)
- $20,000 sign-on bonus (2-year commitment)
- Night differential: $4.00/hour
- Weekend differential: $3.25/hour

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care across multiple hospital units
- Adapt quickly to different patient populations and care environments
- Assess, monitor, and manage patient conditions
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and quality initiatives
- Serve as a flexible resource to support staffing and patient care needs throughout the facility
RequirementsExperience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of hospital RN experience required
- ICU and/or Emergency Department experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new units and patient populations
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- New graduates will not be considered for this position
Licensure & Certifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS Certification required
- Additional certifications may be required based on assigned units
Schedule
- Full-time
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
- Four weekend shifts required every 6-week schedule
- Two major holidays per year
