Position Responsibilities
- Manage and execute the end-to-end catering sales process, driving business from strategic lead generation and contract negotiation to final closing and flawless event execution.
- Direct and optimize regional catering revenue streams, analyzing current market trends across corporate, social, and wedding segments to maximize property-level profitability.
- Lead, mentor, and collaborate with the events and banquet operations teams, establishing clear synergy to ensure premium guest service and impeccable execution of high-profile functions.
- Partner closely with the culinary and food & beverage teams to design bespoke, trend-forward menus that cater to a discerning corporate and social clientele.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with local corporate partners, university coordinators, and wedding planners to secure repeat business and long-term contracts.
- Standardize and continuously refine catering sales operating procedures to support scalable business growth and streamlined client onboarding.
- Utilize modern hotel CRM and property management systems to track sales metrics, pipeline health, and forecast future event revenues accurately.
- Conduct regular market analysis and competitor audits, serving as the ultimate brand ambassador for the hotel's premium, tech-forward event spaces.
Position Requirements
- 3+ years of dedicated full-service hotel catering sales experience, specifically within a leadership or senior-level role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing high-volume catering portfolios and driving the sales process seamlessly from initial plan to close.
- Deep market knowledge of current corporate, social, and wedding trends within the luxury or upscale hospitality sector.
- Demonstrated financial acumen with a verifiable history of meeting or exceeding aggressive sales quotas and revenue targets.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to pitch effectively to C-suite executives, university officials, and premium social clients.
- Strong technological proficiency in modern hotel sales platforms, CRM networks, and property management systems.
