- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform various diagnostic tests, such as blood work and X-rays
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Monitor animals during recovery and provide post-operative care
- Clean and maintain veterinary equipment and instruments
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and procedures
-Dental Extractions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Veterinary technician certification or associate degree in veterinary technology preferred
- Experience working with animals in a veterinary setting
- Knowledge of animal physiology, care, and restraint techniques
- Proficiency in performing diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and blood work
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and veterinary critical care procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Please note that this position may require working with equine patients, handling dogs, and providing care for various other pets. Kennel experience is a plus.
