Job: An experienced CNC operator with G-code proficiency sets up, edits, and runs machining programs. Key responsibilities include reading blueprints, writing or modifying G-code and M-code, selecting tooling, performing first-article inspections using calipers and micrometers, and troubleshooting cuts to ensure parts meet strict tolerances.
Key Responsibilities :
- Programming & Setup: Interpret technical blueprints and CAD/CAM data to write, edit, or adjust G-code and M-code at the machine controller to optimize feed rates, spindle speeds, and tool paths.
- Machine Operation: Set up work-holding devices, load raw materials, and operate CNC mills or lathes to cut, shape, and drill components.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMMs) to verify dimensional accuray.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Identify machining errors, replace worn cutting tools, adjust offsets, and perform routine preventative maintenance on the machinery.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace and strictly adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company quality standards.
Qualifications & Requirements :
- Customizing the experience requirements (e.g., 3-axis vs. 5-axis, or Fanuc vs. Haas controls)
