Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance on products and services
- Operate POS systems such as Toast POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Manage cash handling, cashiering duties, and basic math calculations to ensure smooth transactions
- Prepare and serve food and beverages, maintaining food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Assist with food preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness in the café area
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and up selling products when appropriate
- Maintain the shop’s organization by restocking shelves, cleaning work areas, and ensuring a welcoming environment
- Use time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or food service environments is highly desirable
- Barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS or Micros POS not necessary, will train
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and café operations
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and food handling procedures
- Experience in food preparation or food industry roles is advantageous
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy
