ReStore Assistant Manager
Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity is seeking a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused ReStore Assistant Manager to join our team. The Assistant Manager will support the ReStore Manager in daily operations while providing excellent service to customers, coordinating volunteers, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
Position Details
Position: ReStore Assistant Manager
Hours: 32–40 hours per week
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday
Reports To: ReStore Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with questions and purchases.
- Supervise, coordinate, and assist volunteers with daily tasks.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and merchandising donated items.
- Help create an organized, appealing, and accessible sales floor.
- Assist with cashiering, checkout, and covering the register as needed.
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
- Assist with pricing merchandise and creating promotional signs and displays.
- Assist with donation pickups and deliveries when needed.
- Help ensure donations and merchandise are handled appropriately.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Serve as Manager on Duty when the ReStore Manager is unavailable.
- Help maintain a safe environment for customers, volunteers, and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the ReStore Manager.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college experience preferred.
- Retail, customer service, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with customers, volunteers, and staff.
- Organized, dependable, and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to learn and follow established procedures and policies.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with people, has a positive attitude, takes initiative, and can help create a welcoming experience for both customers and volunteers. Experience in retail, customer service, or team leadership is a plus.
