Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dependable Driver to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting our bakery products to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Your enthusiasm for driving and commitment to excellent service will help us delight our clients with every delivery.
Duties
- Safely operate our 3500 Ram with extended roof refrigerated truckand our Ford Transit Conect
- Load and unload bakery products carefully, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
- Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in optimal condition before each journey.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery schedules and address any issues promptly.
- Assist with warehouse duties when needed, including forklift operation for loading or unloading freight.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with delivery routes involving freight transportation.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred but not required.
- Experience operating trucks with manual transmissions; familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is a plus.
- Ability to load and unload freight safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to follow routes efficiently.
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and perform load securement tasks. Schedule from Monday to Saturday from 5am to end of shift
Pay: $19.00 per hour
