Growing Plumbing and HVAC company seeking to hire a Lead/Senior HVAC Technician. The right candidate would work with a team to install, maintain, and repair residential heating, cooling, ventilation, and plumbing systems. Key responsibilities include diagnosing equipment failures, fixing leaks, repairing pipes, and performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance of HVAC units and plumbing fixtures.
Key Responsibilities
- HVAC Systems: Install, maintain, and repair HVAC units, including furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, and AC units.
- New Construction: Ideal candidate would have experience installing equipment in new residential construction
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions in plumbing and HVAC equipment to fix issues, such as repairing leaks, replacing faulty parts, or recharging refrigerants.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to safety regulations, building codes, and environmental guidelines regarding refrigerant handling.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance
- Customer Service: Professional presentation and communication skills required to Interact with a loyal customer base to explain issues.
- Supervisory: Candidate to supervise entry-level techs & HVAC/Plumbing Helpers
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 5+ years of plumbing and/or HVAC experience
- Education: High school diploma or GED; technical training in HVAC/Plumbing.
- Requirements: Valid driver’s license. Pass drug test and background checks.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using hand tools and testing tools
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for long periods.
- Knowledge: Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
Typical Working Conditions
- Work is done in varied conditions, including tight crawl spaces, rooftops, and in diverse weather conditions.
- Occasionally involves working on-call, evenings, or weekends
- Typical work week is M-F 7am-4pm
