Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist to provide exceptional therapeutic services while collaborating with our OT's and COTA's. The ideal candidate will support clinical excellence, oversee quality of care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and help develop programs that empower children and their families to achieve functional outcomes. Responsibilities
- Supervise services across different settings, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and best practices
- Provide comprehensive evaluations, treatment planning, and intervention for pediatric patients with a variety of developmental, neurological, orthopedic, sensory processing, and behavioral needs
- Mentor, coach, and provide guidance to COTA's and students.
- Coordinate discharge planning and transition services to optimize ongoing care and community integration for pediatric patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, physical therapists, educators, and medical professionals
- Manage medical documentation accurately
- Provide mentorship and training to occupational therapy staff and students
Skills
- Experience working with children in pediatric settings such as clinics, schools, outpatient programs, or home health environments
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, neurodevelopmental disorders including autism spectrum disorders and therapeutic interventions tailored for children with disabilities
- Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation standards relevant to pediatric care
- Skilled in case management, discharge planning, and developing comprehensive care plans that address both medical and functional goals
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare teams
