As a Business Development Intern, you will learn how to identify prospects, start conversations, build a pipeline, and move deals forward. Every lead you convert earns you a commission.
There is no cap, and if a client you bring in stays with us, you keep earning from that relationship for the duration of the internship and beyond into a full partnership role for top performers.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Research and identify US companies that are strong candidates for India-based talent solutions across tech, finance, operations, and customer support
- Reach out to decision makers through LinkedIn, email, and other channels using messaging guides and templates our team provides
- Set up introductory calls between interested prospects and the StaffSetup team
- Tap your college network, alumni connections, and personal contacts to surface referral opportunities
- Track your outreach activity and pipeline in a simple CRM and report weekly on progress
- Share feedback on what objections come up, which messages land, and which industries seem most receptive
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a US college or university, ideally studying business, marketing, communications, or a related field
- Genuinely interested in sales, business development, or entrepreneurship as a career direction
- Clear and confident communicator in writing and over the phone
- Comfortable reaching out to people you do not know and starting conversations from scratch
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage your own time without being micromanaged
- Any prior experience in sales, customer service, campus outreach, or club leadership is a strong plus
COMPENSATION AND GROWTH
This is a performance-based commission role with no base salary.
You earn on every client you convert, with no cap on your earnings.
StaffSetup clients typically stay on multi-year engagements, and your share is tied to the life of each client relationship, not a one-time placement fee.
This internship is designed to be a proving ground. If you demonstrate that you can open doors and generate qualified interest, we will offer you a long-term profit-sharing partnership with lifetime earnings from the clients you bring in.
