CRESTVIEW HOME, located in Bethany, Missouri is currently seeking a cook to join our team.
Cook Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare meals, desserts, and snacks according to the posted menu schedule, ensuring all special diets and dietary concerns are respected
Serve meals that are both palatable and visually appealing
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area, including washing pots and pans as needed
Familiarize yourself with health code requirements for food and beverage storage and hot/cold holding temperatures, and maintain accurate documentation
Estimate and prepare food supplies to meet serving portions
Ensure a safe, clean, and respectable work environment
Participate in ongoing educational programs to enhance skills and knowledge
Cook Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be interested in geriatrics, with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Knowledgeable about dietary techniques and procedures
Able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and/or 50 pounds occasionally
