JOB GOAL: To use leadership, supervisory and administrative skills to promote the educational development of each student.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Master’s Degree or equivalent educational training/experience.
2. Minimum five years teaching experience in the field.
REPORTS TO: Principal/Assistant Principal
SUPERVISES: Responsible for the general leadership and supervision of the staff and the program as the prime or secondary evaluator.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly involved in program development.

Responsible for general leadership of the Department and Program.

Assists in the articulation and coordination with other levels.

Responsible for assessment of methods and materials within the Department.

Responsible for coordinating all elements of the hiring process and makes recommendations for positions. Should be the initial screening interviewer of candidates.

Responsible for orientation and training of all new staff regarding Department regulations and program.

Develops the Department budget.

Supervises expenditures of appropriated budget.

Supervises the inventory, storage, use and maintenance of supplies and equipment.

Maintains appropriate Departmental records.

Assists in the scheduling of students and classes when appropriate.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Per BTA Contract
SALARY: In accordance with BTA Contract. Stipend is in addition to step and lane 26-27 SY $10,701.00
