Position Summary
At Uni K Wax, our Lead Wax Specialists are more than service providers—they are leaders, mentors, and brand ambassadors who help drive the overall success of the studio. This role combines exceptional waxing expertise with leadership, accountability, and a genuine investment in the growth of the business.

Responsibilities
Client Experience & Waxing Services
- Perform full-body waxing services on all genders and age groups using the ElastiK Wax™ system while adhering to Uni K Wax protocols and standards.
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences through consultative communication, service personalization, and professional etiquette.
- Lead by example in professionalism, positivity, accountability, and work ethic.
- Support and help guide studio operations to ensure smooth daily workflow.
- Mentor and support fellow team members by sharing knowledge, encouraging growth, and maintaining high service standards.
- Create a welcoming, clean, and positive studio environment for both clients and staff.
- Use the Prescription Pad to document client needs and recommend return visits, products, memberships, and aftercare solutions.
- Support studio performance goals through client retention, retail recommendations, memberships, and service enhancements.
- Participate in ongoing training and encourage continued learning within the team.
- Identify opportunities to improve the client experience, studio operations, and overall business success.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead by example through professionalism, positivity, accountability, and strong work ethic
- Support and mentor team members in customer service, sales techniques, and studio standards
- Conduct daily team huddles and encourage a positive, goal-oriented work environment
- Assist in onboarding and ongoing training for new wax employees
- Help create and maintain a culture focused on teamwork and growth
Sales & Studio Performance
- Drive studio sales performance by meeting and exceeding revenue goals
- Recommend memberships, service packages, retail products, and service enhancements naturally and confidently
- Monitor and help improve KPIs including:
- Booking conversion
- Client rebooking
- Retail performance
- Membership growth
- Client retention
- Partner with management to support strategic growth initiatives and promotions
- Participate in inventory oversight and product management
Daily Operations
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before scheduled shifts to prepare and review appointments.
- Maintain service times within established benchmarks while prioritizing guest comfort and quality.
- Ensure all tools, surfaces, and treatment areas are sanitized before and after each service.
- Refill supplies, maintain wax equipment, and follow all hygiene procedures.
- Complete service documentation and client notes accurately.
- Educate clients on products and aftercare recommendations.
- Participate in studio meetings, KPI discussions, and growth initiatives.
- Maintain appearance and professionalism standards at all times.
Training & Certification
- Completion of Uni K Wax certification and training program.
- Ongoing education in customer care, product knowledge, waxing techniques, hygiene standards, and studio procedures.
- Participation in ongoing assessments and continued development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Valid state Esthetician, Cosmetology, or Waxing License required
- Previous professional waxing experience required
- Minimum 2–3 years of sales, leadership, or management experience preferred
- Strong understanding of sales principles and customer experience
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Experience with scheduling software and POS systems preferred
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Bilingual preferred but not required
