Position: Pilates Instructor – Independent Contractor
Timuquana Country Club is a traditional private club located on the banks of the St. John’s River in Jacksonville, Florida. Open six days a week, 12 months per year, the 102 year-old, member-owned club has 1,100 member families. Facilities include a 50,000 square foot clubhouse including three member dining rooms and private function spaces, large outdoor event and recreation lawn, wrap around patio, floating dock, 18-hole Donald Ross golf course, golf practice facility, seven outdoor tennis courts, four pickleball courts, fitness center with group exercise studio, locker rooms, men’s and women’s saunas, and a resort style zero entry swimming pool overlooking the St. John’s River. The Club is in the process of constructing a Golf Performance Center and upgraded pickleball facility due to open in May 2026. The Club employs 175 team members year round.
Position Overview:
Timuquana Country Club is seeking an experienced and passionate Pilates Instructor to join our wellness team. This is a unique opportunity to work in an upscale, community-focused environment where you can inspire and support members of all fitness levels in achieving their health and wellness goals.
· Lead safe, engaging, and effective mat-based and/or equipment-based Pilates classes.
· Offer individualized guidance and modifications for all levels, from beginner to advanced.
· Provide private or semi-private sessions as requested.
· Create a welcoming and professional studio experience.
· Collaborate with the fitness team on programming, scheduling, and member engagement.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe studio environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Current Pilates certification from a nationally recognized organization (e.g., STOTT, BASI, Balanced Body, PMA, etc.).
· CPR/AED certified (or willingness to obtain).
· prior experience teaching in a group or private setting preferred.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Passion for promoting health, wellness, and active lifestyles.
· Must have General Liability Insurance. Candidate will enter into an independent contractor agreement with the Club.
SALARY and BENEFITS
· $50+ per group class commensurate with experience and qualifications. 60% commission for springboard Pilates instruction.
