Duties
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation and cooking tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and utensils.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during meal service.
- Support in stocking supplies and ingredients as needed.
- Bussing tables and assisting with dining room service when required.
- Follow food safety and handling guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in catering events as necessary, providing support to ensure successful execution.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or catering environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of food handling practices is an asset.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to take direction from senior kitchen staff.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving supplies.
- A passion for culinary arts and eagerness to learn new skills in the kitchen.
