Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic logistics team. This role involves supporting warehouse operations through efficient materials handling, inventory management, and order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, safety-conscious, and proficient in operating various warehouse equipment. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently
- Assist with inventory control by conducting regular stock counts and updating inventory management software
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping using order picker and manual handling techniques
- Ensure proper packaging of products to prevent damage during transit
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment adhering to safety regulations such as OSHA standards
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
- Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) and AS400 software for accurate order processing and inventory tracking
- Follow safety protocols including PPE use and heavy lifting procedures to minimize risk
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve logistics processes
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution, logistics, and warehouse operations management
- Excellent inventory management skills with familiarity in inventory control software
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely with proper technique
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, order picking & packing processes
- Technical proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and inventory management software
- Ability to adhere to safety regulations including OSHA standards and PPE protocols
- Experience in warehouse supervisor roles or managing warehouse distribution is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stock stocking, order fulfillment, and load & unload activities
